Carolyn Samuel Taylor joined the board of the SRA in April 2022, and serves as the chair of the Communications Committee. She has a BSBA from The University of Richmond, with a double major in marketing and studio art. Carolyn earned a PhD in marketing from UNC Chapel Hill and subsequently was an assistant professor of marketing at Towson University. She hopes to contribute to SRA by helping to clearly communicate the mission and vision of the organization.
Carolyn served on the board of Maryland Hall for the Arts from 2015-2019. She enjoys oil painting, running, hiking with her family, and drinking a lot of coffee. Carolyn’s interest in SRA grew out of spending an increasing amount of time outdoors and on the river with her family. She and her husband and three young children live on the Severn and are enthusiastic oyster-growers.
