September John Wright Speaker Series – Info coming soon
Would you like to participate in SRA’s programs along the Severn River? We always welcome volunteers! Just fill out this form and we will contact you about where you would like to donate your time. From water quality monitoring to driving a boat, there’s an opportunity for you.
The MGO program uses volunteers to grow oysters on their pier. This is a great way for people who live along the Severn River to make an impact in the river’s health. In the fall each volunteer will receive oyster spat-on-shell and cages to grow in a protected way for the critical first year of life. In the summer, volunteers will deliver their year-olds to a chosen reef to plant their oysters. If you would like more information or to participate, please contact oysters@severnriver.org
The Severn River Association protects the Severn River by reporting pollution and other threats to the river to the appropriate governmental authorities. Please feel free to reach out to us to discuss any issues you spot on the river, and we can help guide you to the right place.
