How Do You Clean Up A Creek?

Published: October 15, 2018

Just how do you go about cleaning up a creek that’s been an active harbor in Annapolis for well over 300 years?

How do you deal with the legacy of stormwater runoff and pollution that’s been accumulating since our colonial past?

To find out, join us this Tuesday night, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. at Union Jack’s Pub during the Severn River Association’s (SRA) next Educational Series monthly meeting.

Our special guest speaker will be Amy Clements, who serves on a volunteer basis, as President of the Spa Creek Conservancy (SCC).

Amy will explain the various and ongoing ways SCC has tackled this awesome challenge using a mix of watershed assessments, targeting one project here and a cove there, and constantly pushing forward.

The SRA Educational Series meetings are open to the public and free for SRA members. Donations are always welcome!
