When’s the best time to start updating your garden, yard or shoreline with some fresh landscaping ideas?

When’s the best time to consider a living shoreline to fight erosion and create habitat for turtles, birds and butterflies?

The best time is next Tuesday night, Sept. 18, between 7 and 9 p.m. Where? At Union Jack’s of Annapolis

Our guest speaker will be Suzanne Pittenger-Slear, President of Environmental Concern in St. Michael’s. Suzanne will present “A Practical Guide To Living Shoreline Creation And Native Planting Landscaping: A Fall Planting Guide.”

Suzanne will review the many ways you can enhance landscapes and protect property with living shorelines. She’ll also detail the benefits of attracting wildlife to your property and explain how this adds value by creating habitat for wild things.

We’ll also hear a presentation from Kimberly Sagi, owner of the Severna Park Wild Bird Center.

Kimberly will talk specifically about attracting and feeding birds to enhance your yard, garden and shoreline.

The Educational Series meetings are free and open to the public. Donations are always welcome!
