Water Quality Monitoring Teams Are Back At Work!
Published: July 12, 2020
With the lifting of boating restrictions in late May, SRA’s water quality monitoring crews are back in action to create a comprehensive picture of the health of the Scenic Severn River.
Our weekly water quality monitoring tours visit 45 stations throughout the entire waterway, from Indian Landing at the top of the river, through Round Bay, to Lake Ogleton and the creeks of Whitehall Bay.
SRA’s 2020 Water Quality Monitoring program is sponsored the Delaplaine Foundation.
This is the second year we’ve been blessed with their support to collect dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH, salinity and clarity data.
Our volunteer citizen scientists create water quality profiles of each creek so communities can appreciate how their section of the river is faring throughout the summer.
