State Of The Severn In 2018

Published: November 20, 2018

Dr. Andrew Muller, associate professor of oceanography at U.S. Naval Academy, and Capt. Diana Muller, with Maritimas, detail the health of the Severn River in 2018.

The Mullers review and explain water quality monitoring data collected during one of the rainiest years on record. Data reveals low levels of dissolved oxygen and salinity during critical summer months and the continuing pollution problems caused by stormwater runoff and rapid pace of development in the Severn River watershed.
