Eastport – Aug. 28: More than 50 friends gathered last month to wish a fare-thee-well to John Page Williams before he and Louise head south.
John Page and Louise are relocating to be near their daughter’s family in Richmond, Va.
He’s been a mentor to so many of us who know JP as fisherman, writer, educator, underwater grass enthusiast, oyster lover and skipper of First Light.
Although JP has retired from Chesapeake Bay Foundation and his position on the SRA Board of Directors, he remains at heart a writer and educator. We’ll still see his articles as Editor-At-Large for Chesapeake Bay Magazine.
Here are a few of his pals who turned up at the farewell happy hour at Port Annapolis Marina, home to the SRA office.
