All Quiet Along The Severn During COVID-19 Crisis

Brightest hour We wish everyone safe harbor during the challenges posed by the Coronavirus. If we all join together, we will weather through this.

It will be dawn again, but as the poets sing, “the darkest hour, is just before the dawn…”

Please practice basic precautions: washing hands, social distancing and staying home as much as possible.

The Severn River Association (SRA) Board of Directors also offer high praise, respect and thanks to all essential workers who continue to provide basic services to keep grocery stores open, to treat and care for those in hospitals, clinics and healthcare facilities and to keep emergency facilities up and running.

John Wright Speaker Series On Hiatus

On March 13, 2020, SRA President David Read Barker instituted SRA’s Coronavirus Policy that postpones all scheduled public gatherings, including our monthly John Wright Speaker Series. These events will be rescheduled as conditions allow.

SRA Officers and Board of Directors will work remotely via teleconferencing as needed from their homes.

SRA staff are also working remotely to plan, prepare and eventually resume our scientific and educational programs to monitor the Severn River’s aquatic conditions and habitat.
