Volunteers! Enjoy Fall Monitoring The Severn River

Hello Everyone!

What a great year we have had so far with our Water Quality (WQ) Monitoring Program! I would like to thank all of our boat captains and WQ Crew who have volunteered this summer to help out.

Thanks to your efforts, we’ve made great strides in understanding the overall health of the Severn River.

And with the arrival of great fall weather, there are new opportunities for volunteers to join the WQ Crew for a morning tour of the Severn River to help track conditions in the Severn River.

There are big changes ahead as the river cools and the river’s infamous “Dead Zone” retreats.

Can you help out?
IzzieWhat better way to help monitor the river’s health than:
– enjoying a morning river cruise,
– becoming a citizen scientist,
– soaking in the view, and
– witnessing the changes in the river,
– contributing to science and understanding of our river, and
– watching the migratory birds on the water.

We can use help on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. Each WQ cruise is a three-hour exploration.

If you are interested in volunteering with us, please email us at Info@severnriver.org and put WQ Crew in the message box.

Or, sign up for a tour using our Google Doodle page: https://doodle.com/poll/ntiu97v6un2rm55a

Thank you all again for your continued support of the Severn River Association. We appreciate all the help you have provided to us so far!
